About Me

My photo
Emily Horch
I love all things about languages and enjoy puzzling out how cultural and linguistic differences affect how people interact in business. I'm finally nearly ready to move to Europe and am excited about starting a new job on the other side of the pond. Paris and Germany here we come! I speak fluent French and business-level Italian and Spanish. I've lived in the UK, France, Mexico, Spain, Italy and Germany and driven around the entire island of Ireland. I'm now tackling German, which is quite the challenge but a lot of fun! My best four-legged buddy is my beautiful Rottie boy, Brogan, who is both my companion and assistance dog and used to commands and endearments in five languages. Kind, gentle and eternally patient with my many foibles, Brogan is a credit to his breed and dogdom in general. I volunteer for animal rescue group CARE (www.carepets.org) and write a blog about my current foster dog, Molly and enjoy keeping up with former foster Emma. My newest blog is "BabelHund" and follows Brogan's and my adventures both in the US and where our travels take us.
